Send Money Quickly & Securely with the “Pay a Person” Feature in Bill Pay
With Pay A Person from Texas Gulf Bank, you can use your smartphone, tablet or computer to send money to anyone within the USA. It’s fast, easy and secure. All you need is the person’s valid USA-based email address or USA cell phone number.
HERE’S HOW TO GET STARTED:
- Log in to your online banking account at www.texasgulfbank.com
- Select the “Bill Pay” link
- Select the “Pay a Person” tab
- Choose to send money by email or text message

To access Pay A Person, you must be enrolled in Online Banking and also be enrolled in TGB Mobile Banking if desiring to use a mobile device to access this feature. The payee must be properly set-up to receive the payment on both sender’s and receiver’s end.
TGB Online Banking, Mobile Banking and Text Banking are free. However, depending on your mobile service provider, you may be charged web access rates, standard text messaging rates, and/or data transfer fees. Check with your wireless service provider for details on your specific plan.
To use Mobile Banking from Texas Gulf Bank, you must first enroll in Online Banking and Mobile Banking.
Cannot be used to make payments in Online Bill Pay or with Pay A Person feature.
Pay a Person payment limits for Individual Payees by:
- Email or text message (Electronic) is $2,500 per transaction and per processing day.
- Direct Deposit (Electronic) is $1,000 per transaction and $2,000 per processing day.
- Check is $99,999.99 per transaction and per processing day.
These are not simultaneous/real-time transfers. Electronic payments are typically paid to a properly set-up payee within 1-2 business days. Payments by check are typically paid to a properly set-up payee within 5-7 business days. A business day is Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays; payments made after 2:00 p.m. CST or on a non-business day are processed on the next business day.
