ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT – LAKE JACKSON

This full time position will be responsible for processing, balancing and reporting of fixed assets to ensure accuracy of all asset related accounts and performing bi-annual inventory.  This position will also serve to support other accounting tasks such as accounts payable and daily cash management as needed.  Other duties will include reconciling, accumulating and reporting of information in an efficient and accurate manner.  The qualified individual should possess strong communication skills – both verbal and written. Other skills required include:  proficiency in Microsoft office products, strong organizational and time management skills; and self-starter abilities.  Requirements also include the ability to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, as well as the ability to maintain a good rapport with co-workers.  Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.  An Associate’s Degree in the area of Accounting or Finance or related work experience and/or previous bank experience is strongly preferred. 

Customer Support Specialist

This full-time position will be responsible for performing a full range of professional, technical and general support to both customers and bank personnel.  Oral communication is a primary function in the bookkeeping department – assisting both external and internal customers with account issues and questions, including those related to electronic banking.  In addition, this position will be responsible for working charge-offs, reporting charge-offs to the system, working fraud program review, processing return items, large item verification and other bookkeeping functions and duties as assigned. 

The qualified candidate should possess strong proficiency in both written and oral communication as well as the capability to thoroughly and accurately troubleshoot, assess and resolve customer issues.   Ability to maintain a strong professional presence and a good rapport with co-workers as well as customers will be a necessity.  Superb customer service skills will be required with a proven track record for these skills as well as excellent problem-solving capabilities.  The preferred candidate will have a strong knowledge of banking products and possess good organizational skills.  Experience and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Word will be required.  Educational requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent.
